Opening sequence of the movie uses a rippling water effect from a lake, Names appear on the screen while the lake ripples, shows eyes of person in the water, projected onto the water of a figure. music is played thoughout the opening credits to create tension at the end of the opening credits the water changes into blood which gives the impression that there will be some form of murder in the movie
The movie follows the codes and conventions of thrillers as it uses music to build up tension at certain times, for example in the opening sequence music is used to create suspence, also the music is used when the crimanal is let oit of prison
Camerawork
The camera work used during the movie focuses on main characters, although you can see the rest of the backgorund and people, the camera is directed to them, also during the movie a man is being followed by this criminal and the camera focuses on the man who is being followed but it also focuses on the crimanal who is looking straight at the man from his car
Mise-En-Scene
The movie is set in a quite rich area and the characters are portayed as rich with the clothes that they wear and the house that they live in, this is contrasted by the crimanal who has just been let out of prison but still is dressed in a rich fashion and shown as a smart, sophisticated character with the car that they own and the way they dress
Sound
The sound used throughout is used to build ip tension between the criminal and the man but also what is happening, for example the opening sequence the music creates tension and suspence, this music is also played when the criminal is let out of prison, this shows that the criminal must be planning some form of revenge or scheme and the music shows this by creating tension
Editing
The editing of the movie switches from day to night for example it shows a family having a conversation during the day then immediatly switches to a cinema showning at night
Graphics
The movie uses dark colours to show evil in characters, the movie uses thunder and dark clouds when the criminal is let out of prison, this portrays evil but also with the music in the background, this can show that they are up to a form of scheme or an act of revenge
